ACOS China

ACOS operates in the Far East through its own company, Acos China Ltd.
ACOS CHINA has its main office in Hong Kong and three production facilities in China.
Acos China Ltd. was the first Acos company set up abroad. This choice was determined by the specific characteristics of China. While it has major strong points (excellent product quality and low labour costs), it also presents critical challenges, such as difficoulty of interacting effectively with local companies, the shortcomings in terms of health and safety and, not least, serious ethical problems. Acos has eliminated these weak links, making China a mature supply source, where low costs, product wholesomeness and business ethics are no longer contradictory.

Structure
Acos China has a central office in Hong Kong and three plants in China: Tianjin, Dalian and Yunnan. Acos factory in Dalian is certificated ISO:9001 by UKAS Quality Management.
The Hong Kong office coordinates supply in China and Myanmar and manages these three production units. The latter, managed according to Occidental standards, operates as centre for the collection, processing and shipping of the goods produced in various part of China.

Plants
The Acos China plants are among the best in China, thanks to the various systems installed and to the plants’ production capacities. They are undoubtedly a benchmark for working conditions and human-rights protection.
All plants, constructed in recent years, have offices, warehouses for raw materials and finished products, product-processing departments and laboratories for quality control. All of the goods undergo basic mechanical selection and sorting with the use of avant-garde systems equipped with fanning mills, separators, destoners, gravity separators, brushing machines, metal detectors and graders. For top-quality products, the raw materials are not only processed mechanically but are also hand-picked on belts. The workers select the seeds one by one.
Overall, the three plants cover an area of 20,000 sq.m. and have a production capacity exceeding 3,000 tons/month. More than 250 people employed.
Acos China deals with a wide range of bean varieties: Chinese lentils, dark red kidney beans, japanese white beans, small black beans, large white kidney, light speckled kidney beans, adzuki (red), mung beans (green adzuki), light red kidney beans, small red beans, dutch brown beans, long yellow kidney beans, white kidney beans.The most important customers are canning industries and food industries in general.
